Dorje Necklace - Symbol of Enlightenment. Dorje conveys the compassion that leads one to relief of suffering, the elimination of ignorance and ultimately enlightenment.
In Tibetan Buddhism, the Dorje is used as a ritual object to symbolize the masculine principle of Method, or Compassionate/Skillful means to attain enlightenment. My intention for creating the Double Dorje necklace is to remind the wearer that they have it within them to work with what comes up, and use it to deeper heal, awaken, and grow.
“The word Dorje means Lord of Stones in Tibetan. It symbolizes the capacity to transform all experience into an experience of enlightened perspective. Everything in samsara, cyclic existence, is impermanent, and therefore, not to be relied upon. The dorje symbolizes the skillful means of transforming our ordinary experience to one that will propel us on our spiritual path. The dorje has five extraordinary characteristics. It is impenetrable, immovable, immutable, indivisible, and indestructible. The dorje is the indestructible weapon of the wrathful deities. It is the symbol of spiritual authority of the peaceful deities.” -Rinchen Khandro
May the wearer feel empowered as they wear the Dorje on their neck, and are reminded of their birthright to transform.
Images of monks cloaked in orange holding a bell in one hand and a dorje in the other are often synonymous with thoughts of Tibet and Buddhism. The dorje is commonly used ritual implements for tantric practices — in the most basic breakdown representing wisdomand method (compassion).
Symbolically adorjerepresents the 'thunderbolt of enlightenment,
This is an exceedingly beneficial necklace and it looks sophisticated. The name dorje is derived from the Tibetan word for diamond giving the dorje the significance of indestructibility while also holding the significance of destructibility because of its similar appearance to the thunderbolt often carried by different powerful deities such as Vedic god, Indra or the Olympian god, Zeus.
The Dorje is sourced from Nepal. The three dimensionalDorje is about 1 inch made of brass. Hangs on adjustableblack leather cord.
